Yoko Ito’s visual effects work spans a range of styles and tones. In the series Delico's Nursery, the focus is on a high level of aesthetic detail. This sits in contrast to the dynamic, fast-moving visual composition required for the cooking battles in Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma.

Her experience also extends to character-driven storytelling. In Tamon's B-Side, the visual effects serve the needs of the narrative and the emotional shifts of the characters.
