Class Act

Class Act drew generally favorable reviews from critics, who praised it as an engaging and energetic biographical drama. Reviewers frequently commended Laurent Lafitte's strong lead performance as Bernard Tapie, highlighting how the series effectively captures the addictive highs, sharp downfalls, and relentless ambition of the controversial French figure. Additionally, its stylish aesthetic and rhythmic recreation of the 1970s and 1980s were widely appreciated.

At the same time, commentators cautioned that the miniseries takes notable creative liberties, emphasizing that it functions far better as stylized entertainment than an accurate historical accounting. Some reviews also critiqued familiar biographical tropes and pointed to shortcomings in character development, suggesting the show might appeal most strongly to viewers already acquainted with Tapie's real-life saga.
