Monstrous

Critical reception for Monstrous has been distinctly lukewarm, with reviewers finding that the occult limited series fails to live up to its intriguing premise. While the atmosphere is noted for being bleak and bloody, critics feel the narrative suffers from an overly simplistic and formulaic approach that blunts its impact.

Ultimately, the show is viewed as struggling to balance its emotional themes with its genre mechanics. Outlets noted that while it manages to offer some dramatic moments tied to heartbreak, it falters significantly in delivering genuine, effective horror, resulting in a middling and basic watch.
