Dexter: Resurrection

Dexter: Resurrection received generally positive reception from critics and audiences, with many surprised that the long-running franchise managed to breathe fresh life into a premise that seemed long exhausted. Critics praised Michael C. Hall's enduring charisma in the central role, highlighting the series as entertaining, pulpy summer escapism that recaptures much of the original show's darkly comic appeal.

Several reviewers noted the narrative's ambition, pointing out how its complex, interwoven murder investigations and classic tropes comfortably slide back into the franchise's bleak foundation. However, some dissenters argued that the show relies on worn procedural clichés and felt that the premise should have stayed buried, while others remained cautious about whether the series could sustain its initial momentum across the entire season.
