Last Seen

Last Seen received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised the Australian mystery thriller for prioritizing emotional resonance and nuanced character drama over cheap genre thrills. Patrick Brammall's central performance earned widespread commendation, with reviewers highlighting how the series grounds a familiar missing-child premise in authentic depictions of grief, trauma, and obsession. Apple TV's high production values and atmospheric visual style were also frequently noted as strengths.

However, the reception was not without reservations. Several critics pointed to pacing issues across the six-episode run, specifically criticizing a tendency toward narrative wheel-spinning and momentum-halting flashback sequences. While some reviewers found the introspective approach and deliberate pace deeply rewarding, more skeptical assessments felt the show struggled to fully capitalize on its dramatic potential.
