Overview
High schooler Wakana Gojo wants to become a kashirashi—a master craftsman who makes traditional Japanese Hina dolls. Though he's gung-ho about the craft, he knows nothing about the latest trends, and has a hard time fitting in with his class. The popular kids—especially one girl, Marin Kitagawa—seem like they live in a completely different world. That all changes one day, when she shares an unexpected secret with him, and their completely different worlds collide.

The appeal lies in the unlikely collaboration between a reserved traditional doll maker and a bold, fashion-conscious peer. Instead of relying on typical high school archetypes, the series explores the meticulous craft behind cosplay. It treats the creation of costumes with genuine gravity, turning sewing and fabric selection into a language for self-expression.
Shoya Ishige provides a grounded performance that anchors the optimistic tone. The series balances dry, slice of life comedy with an enthusiastic look at how personal hobbies can bridge social divides. By focusing on the shared passion for transformation, it finds a sincere rhythm that keeps the dynamic between the leads consistent and engaging.
