Twisted Metal

Twisted Metal surprised many critics by delivering an entertaining, high-octane ride that exceeded generally low expectations for the vehicular combat adaptation. Enthusiastic reviewers praised the series as a funny, blood-soaked blast filled with car-based carnage and an unexpected amount of emotional heart. The chemistry between Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz, alongside memorable turns like Will Arnett and Samoa Joe's tag-team portrayal of the psychotic Sweet Tooth, earned particular acclaim for anchoring the madcap world.

However, the show divided critics over its manic tone and plotting. Detractors felt the action-comedy became too relentlessly wacky and thin, running low on substance and emotional depth while leaning into juvenile humor. Even so, most assessments agreed that viewers willing to embrace its cartoonish violence and unapologetically loud energy would find a surprisingly fun, bingeable piece of pop-culture mayhem.
