Critical Reception

What critics are saying

Score 78 /100

Lilo & Stitch: The Series was received as an entertaining and imaginative expansion of the original film's universe. Critics and commentators noted that the episodic format allowed the franchise to stretch its legs, embracing a tone that was scrappy, weird, and deeply heartfelt while further exploring the central theme of 'ohana.'

Family-oriented reviewers pointed out that the show features a fair amount of energetic action, including blaster-wielding adversaries and rambunctious alien antics, making it best suited for grade-schoolers rather than the youngest viewers. Overall, viewers appreciated the series for its touching core messages and an endearing cast of colorful experiment characters.

“Lilo seems young, but the raucousness makes this series more suitable for grade-schoolers than younger viewers.”

“It was scrappier, weirder, more heartfelt... really let the story stretch its legs”

“A wonderful series with a great, simple yet deeply moving premise and very likable characters.”
