Griselda

Critics generally praised Griselda as a compelling, high-octane crime drama anchored by a transformative lead performance from Sofía Vergara. Reviewers commended Vergara for completely immersing herself in the brutal role of the Colombian cartel leader, balancing her cutthroat ambition and cold-blooded violence with genuine maternal devotion.

While the series earned high marks for its pacing, period aesthetic, and stylish tension, some critics noted that the narrative treads familiar gangster-drama territory. Several reviewers observed that the later episodes lean heavily into predictable genre tropes, prioritizing bloody set pieces over deeper thematic commentary or sharply differentiating itself from previous cartel sagas.
